Norman "Norm" Hemming

Norman O. Hemming, III served as Special Counsel to the United States Attorney with the United States Department of Justice, helping manage a staff of over 230 attorneys and an equal number of support staff based in offices in Key West, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce. Norman split his time pursuing his undergraduate degree in Government and Public Administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Cornell University and is a Merit Fellow graduate of Howard Law School where he served as Associate Editor of the Law Journal and President of the Student Bar Association. He serves on the Pastor’s Council of Cooper City Church of God and on the Vice-Provost Counsel for Florida International University, which raises and distributes scholarships to students of FIU who are first in their family to attend college. Norman is married for 23 years to his wife Carol, and is the father of two children, Imani, a graduate of Florida State University and Rachel who is a junior at FIU. Norman understands that public service is the highest calling of all citizens.
